Proform 6.0 rt

If you are looking for a basic treadmill for home use at an affordable price Proform have a few options that you may be interested in but for the first of my Proform treadmill reviews we will look at the Proform 6.0 rt.

There are many features that you may or may not be looking for in a treadmill, such as ease of use, how big is it, ease of storage amongst them.

Many of you I’m sure are looking for a treadmill for running in the winter months so you may be looking for a machine you can store away in the summer months without hassle.ProForm 6.0 RT

The Proform 6.0 can be folded away for easy storage if your space is limited so it won’t just turn into another clothes hanger or having to step over it in your bedroom.

One of the things we liked were the nice large buttons on the console so even during the most vigorous workout you are able to choose the right settings easily as no-one wants to speed their machine up when what you really wanted to do was slow it down.

To help gain the workout you desire the console provides excellent feedback allowing you to monitor the distance you have run, the speed you are running at and to keep on top of your calorie burning goals there is even a heart monitor which can be held with the handgrip to keep track of your heart rate.

Many people like to listen to their favourite music whilst working out so you may be pleased to find out that this Proform treadmill comes with a handy cable jack for your mp3 player and inbuilt speakers so you can listen to your music without getting tangled up in your headphones wires.

The Proform RT is a powered treadmill and the features on this model include multiple speed settings up to 10 mph and also incline settings for greater muscle building and calorie burning.

It is an extremely robust machine and has a 300lb rating for weight capacity and the Treadsoft cushioning will give plenty of joint support when in use.

All in all this is a very good treadmill for home use.

What do we like about this model?

It’s simplicity and ease of use are a definite plus for this machine. It is easy to assemble taking little over an hour, on average, to assemble at home.

We particularly liked the large water bottle holder and the space to place an mp3/music player.

It is an affordable treadmill compared to some of the more high-end machines.

What we don’t like.

Whilst it is a folding machine it doesn’t fold completely flat due to the large console stopping a complete fold, however, we feel this is a minor point as it doesn’t stop it being stowed away easily.

Proform Performance 300 Treadmill

The Proform 300 has now been updated to the Performance 300i and retains the quality you’d expect from Proform with the added extras of better performance and features.

The Proform 300i is more of an entry level treadmill compared with our other 2 reviews. It is smaller in size which will also be true of the price.

Having said that, we found the 300i to be just as capable of giving just as an enjoyable and thorough workout as the higher priced models we have featured.ProForm Performance 300i

This great compact folding treadmill is rated for users up 300lb and as you would expect is cushioned to minimise jolts and vibration through your joints and bones.

It can be used at speeds up to 10mph and you can also set the incline up to 10%, to improve muscle tone and stamina, with the easy one touch controls.

As with the more high end products from Proform, they have taken the time to place speakers into the console to allow you to plug and play your favorite music through the machine without having pesky earphone cables getting tangled in everything within a 2 yard radius.

The pros.

A great little machine ideal for smaller apartments or houses and those on a limited budget. Easily stored away out of sight when not in use.

The cons.

We would advise that if you are looking to purchase this model, you make sure that it is the 300i and not the original 300. Whilst the 300 was a good treadmill, the 300i’s motor is more powerful and does show.

Proform Pro 2000 Treadmill

The Proform 2000 is one of the high-end products made by Proform and accordingly is more expensive. It is a folding treadmill, however, once ready to use it will need a little more room as it is bigger than some of the smaller versions. That being said, it is still a very good treadmill for the home.

Foldable TreadmillThis treadmill comes with a 12 mph speed control, a huge 32 workout apps, quick incline control to 15% and the decline control goes as far as -3%.

One thing that makes running on a treadmill easier than road running is the cushioning and shock absorbency of the machine which causes a lot less shock to the bones and joints. The Proform 2000 uses ProShox cushioning which makes it one of the best treadmills for running.

This machine also comes with the great additions of storage space for large water bottles and for music players even up to tablet size, allowing you to plug in and play your music through the machine’s speakers.Proform 2000

What we liked about the Proform Pro 2000.

We loved the iFit compatability which allows you to download preset workouts and have voice encouragement from celebrities. You can also use Google maps to build your own routes without leaving the comfort of your own home.

The not so good.

Again, this model doesn’t completely fold flat but will stay at about 70%. This is probably fine for most spaces but could be a tight squeeze for smaller spaces.

The Best Proform Treadmill.

So, you ask, which is the best?

That’s a difficult question to answer as we have tried to pick the best treadmill from each of the price ranges.

All the machines are foldable so enabling easy storage. They all come with great features like speakers to allow you to play music or motivational recordings or whatever you want through the console.

The real differences come with the size and speed. If you require faster speeds with more intense incline capability then the Proform 2000 is the one for you.

On the flip side, if you have limited space and no requirement for the faster speeds of the bigger models then the 300i is probably what you are looking for.

If you feel the 300i may be a bit small for your needs but maybe not looking to spend much more for your Proform treadmill, then we can recommend the 6.0 RT as the perfect balance between the two other machines.
